چکیده
Abstract Coagulants are essential in purifying raw water for drinking safety consumers. Commonly, aluminium sulphate, a chemical coagulant, is used treatment. However, long-term usage, coagulants can be considered toxic and harmful to the environment due accumulation of this substance pipeline system, which create severe health issues if consumed. The natural plant-based coagulant substitute sustainable solution treatment coagulation process. This research aimed determine efficiency materials as surface Moringa oleifera maize seeds were chosen investigation since they both locally available materials. Here, aims study ability moringa seed enhancing effluent quality wastewater plant UiTM Dengkil Selangor. A jar test experiment was assess capacity coagulants. results comprise turbidity removal by 92% (mixed seed), oxygen demand (COD) 95% reduction rate using seed. biochemical (BOD) 88% seed, ammonia-nitrogen 12% (moringa seed) total suspended solids (TSS) 100% mixed sample. Thus, it recognized that an alternative replace systems.

The effects of the natural coagulant Moringa oleifera and alum in wastewater treatment at the Bandar Abbas Oil Refinery
Background: The refining process generates large volumes of wastewater containing a variety of chemical contaminants. The use of natural substitutes in treating wastewater which have fewer harmful effects is considered an effective step towards protecting the environment and sustaining the development of these industries. This study focused on the use of Moringa oleifera and alum at t...
متن کاملInnovative physico-chemical treatment of wastewater incorporating Moringa oleifera seed coagulant.
Moringa oleifera is a pan tropical, multipurpose tree whose seeds contain a high quality edible oil (up to 40% by weight) and water soluble proteins that act as effective coagulants for water and wastewater treatment. The use of this natural coagulant material has not yet realised its potential. A water extract of M. oleifera seed was applied to a wastewater treatment sequence comprising coagul...

متن کاملIsolation and characterization of coagulant extracted from Moringa oleifera seed by salt solution.
It is known that M. oleifera contains a natural coagulant in the seeds. In our previous research, the method using salt water to extract the active coagulation component from M. oleifera seeds was developed and compared with the conventional method using water. In this research, the active coagulation component was purified from a NaCl solution crude extract of Moringa oleifera seeds. The activ...
